2019 has been a big year in many ways with one stand out being the nomination of our very own Tabitha Tworek, Senior Financial Planner and Director here at Insight for the 2019 AFA Female Excellence in Advice award. Some of you may know her as your awesome planner that is able to guide you and ensure that you are on the right rack in your financial journey. To us Tabitha is a ‘jack of all trades’. She dedicates her soul to helping others whether they be clients, staff, friends, family, a stranger in the street or in line at the airport! This is a skill that is natural to who Tabitha is and something we at Insight get to experience every single day.
On Tuesday 27th August Tabitha attended the AFA Conference which was an action packed 4 days. The AFA hosts a conference every year that invites advisers and others in the industry to attend. It is a great atmosphere and a time to talk to industry experts, discuss ideas with peers from across the country and as an industry discuss and deal with change that is occurring. Guest speakers included and were not limited to; The Hon. Julie Bishop – a crowd favourite, The Hon. Jane Hume, Chelsea Pottenger, Grahame Evans – GPS Wealth, Jason Andriessen, Phil Kewin and many more with a highlight being Dr Richard Harris SC OAM – Special Anaesthetist ‘2018 Thai Cave Rescue’ Diver.
Thursday 29th was the magnificent Gala Dinner and AFA awards where the aim is ‘championing Excellence in Advice’. It was wonderful to see so much collaboration and appreciation in 1 room. It is truly a testament on the industry banding together to lift everyone up. Being that Tabitha was nominated for such an award it was extra special. Tabitha was a finalist among 3 other fabulous women and couldn’t be happier to share her journey with such amazing women. Reflecting back on such an achievement clearly shows that you don’t have to be announced a winner to feel like a winner. We feel very special and PROUD of Tabitha for being recognised in this way.
